FleX Series,The world’s first Bendable & Curved Digital X-ray Detector

DRTECH has been presented world’s first Bendable and Curved Digital X-ray detectors named “FleX Series” in last ASNT 2021 and Productronica 2021 exhibitions.   Until today, Industrial Radiographic Testing(RT) for the pipeline and tank is generally performed by conventional X-ray film or flexible imaging plate(Computed Radiography-CR) due to its curved shooting surface. However, lots of relevant personnel have been expressing inconvenience about the long imaging time and inconvenient imaging processing procedure.   There was some attempt to fully digitalized the detector like the medical industry, however, it was a half success to introduce the automatic rotation detector or narrow shaped detector. Therefore, there still be expectation and rumors in the market about the flexible digital detector, especially after the release of commercial flexible display and electronics.   FleX Series is the product which the NDT market expected. It eliminates image distortion of curved target like pipe or tank which indicated as the biggest limitation of ordinary Digital Flat Panel Detector. Moreover, it supports both wire/wireless operation with the slim thickness, light weight and high durability to meet the needs of NDT market.   DRTECH aims to make new position in the Oil & Gas industry RT market. Therefore, FleX Series is made up with 2 models for each use. Model EXT1036B has a freely Bendable panel to meet the various gauge of pipes and tanks in Refinery, Industrial plant and Oil & Gas terminal. Model EXT1036C has fixed Curve panel with more durable body for the pipelines in the harsh environment.
